Senior Software Engineer (Go), API Platform Department, PPD, Kyoto/Tokyo

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the API Platform (Go primary) including authorization/authentication services, API Gateway, and MCPs.
• Enable product teams to rapidly develop and deploy API suites while ensuring platform reliability and security.
• Write scalable, robust, testable, and production-ready code; ship software to production.
• Contribute as a technical and product advocate in discussions; collaborate with Engineering Manager, Product Manager, and stakeholders.
• Support product teams and customers; translate functional requirements into technical system specifications.
• Monitor critical components in production and respond quickly to incidents or outages.

Mandatory Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of software development experience
• Experience with OAuth/public API authentication
• Experience with RDBMS
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum
• Strong team player with interpersonal skills; solution-oriented and autonomous
• Willingness to use AI tools to boost productivity
• Track record of shipping production-grade software

Preferred Skills

• 3+ years of Go experience
• Experience with AWS or GCP
• AI-accelerated development experience (Claude Cod*e, Codex, etc.) and AI-focused SDLC
• Platform service development/operations experience
• System architecture and infrastructure design
• Project leadership or mentoring experience
• CI/CD experience; hands-on Kubernetes
